The Wednesday Equipment class is for any club member who wants to understand and perfect each piece of Agility equipment. This is not a course work night. It is coached. It will always involve a piece of contact equipment and various approaches to that piece of equipment including distance handling $5 for the Trainer $2 for the club.
Thursday Pre Agility is the first work for dogs and handlers of all ages to learn control around equipment and running with the handler. You need to graduate from this class to be in the Saturday 11a.m. class $5 Trainer and $2 for the Club.

Saturday 11a.m. Open to all graduates of Pre Agility Thursday and 10a.m. Saturday. This will be a set of exercises including most agility equipment which are all worked at once, so dogs need to be able to work while other dogs are working without interrupting their fellow trainees. When everyone has rotated through the contact set, the hurdle set, the tunnel set then we will use the long jump and the hoop to link the sets together and run them as a course.
The last school term of the year will see us attempt our first Junior Dog Training class. Katie King has volunteered along with Saskia Murray to be her assistance. We will be advertising an audition on a Saturday afternoon very soon. It is suitable for young people 7 to 15 years and will be limited to 10. We currently have 4 suitable candidates. If you have a child or you know children with dogs who may be interested in this class please get them to contact us as soon as possible. The cost will be $20 per dog/child team for the term. Raewyn will be in charge of curriculum.
I am really looking forward to the Summer Season. Given the wet horror that Autumn Winter seasons have been, even if it is wet it is sure to be warmer than our recent experiences. At last count our club has about 37 active members. I have always said that 50 members was tops for our club and after that we just need to make sure that all our members needs are being met in terms of social good times with their dogs and that informative learning experiences are a part of what Dog Sports offers to members.
Hope you all come and enjoy Summer Dog Training with us.
