the Dump....

The day after Fae's first birthday, Fae's person had promised she would take Fae, Tyson and Chan to the dump.

The Dump was Tyson's only home and he had lived there for a while with all the other unwanted dogs, cats and people.

Fae the Fat Fairy could feel a good deed coming on, which she knew would make her wings grow and she so wanted to grow her wings so she could fly and she really did like Tyson...sigh... a lot.

So the morning dawned and Fae was up really early and so was Tyson. Chan lagged behind in getting out of bed because he had only been dragged into this trip because his person said he had to go to protect Fae. Chan liked his little sister, like everyone likes their little sister, but it was a bit boring to have to go with her and her boyfriend Tyson to the Dump where Chan knew a lot of the animals from his past life had ended up.

Chan the Sharpei X had worked hard to pull himself out of the poverty he was born in to. He liked having a proper bed and good food and doing proper dog training and working for his person winning at Flygility. He really did not want to go back and even look at where he had been. He hid from it really. This morning he was hiding from getting up so someone might forget he had promised to go. He was a City Boy and he liked his creature comforts.

'Come on Chan' said Fae ' It will be time to go soon'.

Fae and Chan's person was in the kitchen and she made up big breakfasts for everybody. Fresh cow's milk with garlic and honey on toast. Yummy . Fae and Chan's person didn't believe anyone should head off on an adventure without a full tummy.

Then they all got in the truck.... The truck was Fae and Chan's favourite thing. They slept in there during the day when the truck was home. They hated the truck going anywhere without them. Tyson hung back, he wasn't sure about the truck.

'Come on Tyson' said Fae ' This is your adventure, you have to come.'

Tyson was shivering a bit 'What if your person gets lost and we never make it to the dump. What if we have an accident' asked Tyson.

'Oh that is really stupid' said Chan ' but if you are going to change your mind, I am outahere'.

'What's an accident?' asked Fae.

'Now then', said the person 'All aboard, we are off'.

Before he knew it, Tyson had leapt into the truck and they were all heading off down the road singing as they went.

'Wooo wooo yahoo yippy yap yap' - and before long they were riding down the hill towards the dump.

Tyson was so excited he was jumping up and down on the truck seat as the smells and sights of the dump came ever closer. He was heading home at last.

The person stopped on the side of the road by the dump where there was a pull off. Lots of big trucks had formed a queue heading to dump their rubbish at the dump. There was just one big truck after another.

'I will come back in two days to get you' said the person 'be very careful and have a wonderful adventure - off you go'.

So Chan, Tyson and Fae jumped out of the truck and ran under the fence and disappeared over the piles of rubbish to look for Tyson's friends.

'Wow' said Fae 'What a gorgeous smell here'. 'Fae', said Chan 'It stinks'.

'It will grow on you after a while' said Tyson. 'Not likely' said Chan.

Suddenly Tyson looked up to a huge mound of rubbish and there on the top was his best friend Boney.

'Boney Boney' Tyson shouted and he ran as fast as he could to the top of the heap to see his old pal he hadn't seen for such a long time.............
